1. About BookVerse

BookVerse is a digital reading and publishing marketplace that allows users to discover, read, purchase and publish digital books, subject to account permissions and applicable rules.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity carried out through your account. You must provide accurate information when creating or maintaining an account.

3. Digital books

Purchased books are licensed for personal use through the BookVerse service. Purchased access does not transfer copyright ownership to the reader.

4. Authors and content

Authors remain responsible for the content and rights associated with works they submit. Authors must not upload material they do not have the right to publish.

5. Purchases

Prices are displayed in South African Rand where applicable. Payment processing is performed through BookVerse's configured payment provider. Access to paid content is granted only after a purchase has been successfully verified.

6. Prohibited use

Users must not attempt to bypass access controls, copy or redistribute protected books without permission, interfere with the service, or use BookVerse for unlawful activity.

7. Availability

BookVerse may update, suspend or discontinue features when reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, legal compliance or product development.

8. Intellectual property

BookVerse software, branding and platform materials remain protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. User and author content remains subject to the rights held by its respective owners.

9. Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of BookVerse after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms where permitted by law.
